Erich Bloch Helped Pioneer IBM's Most Successful Computer

Erich Bloch fled Nazi Germany as an orphaned teenager and went on to become a pioneer of high-performance computing, leaving indelible marks at IBM and the National Science Foundation. Mr. Bloch died Nov. 25 at 91.
