Fed's Policy Rate Rises to 0.35%, Inside Target Range, in Early Trade

It took nearly a decade for the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates, but only minutes for its decision to take effect early Thursday. In early morning trading, the federal-funds rate rose to 0.35%, inside the Fed’s new 0.25% to 0.5% target range.
