Not Enough Hands for the Harvest

U.S. farm companies, in dire need of people to harvest fruits and vegetables, are raising wages and enhancing medical and other benefits. Even so, a worsening labor shortage is reducing fruit and vegetable production by an estimated 9.5%, or $3.1 billion, a year.
