Toyota's New Blue-Collar Executive

Toyota Motor Corp. has promoted veteran Mitsuru Kawai to senior management, the highest post held by a blue-collar worker at the company. Mr. Kawai’s main task will be overseeing Toyota’s plants and utilizing his experience in traditional manufacturing.
