U.S. Rocket Company Looks to Buy Russian-Made Engine

Orbital Sciences Inc., the company that the U.S. government uses for many of its space launches, said on Friday it is evaluating buying a Russian-made rocket engine, the RD-180, that has become a touchstone for concerns about the health of the U.S. space industry.
