Cooper Tire Pursuing Suitor Over Damages

Cooper Tire & Rubber said in a Friday court filing that it now views its lawsuit against its would-be buyer, Apollo Tyres, of India, as a fight over money damages, suggesting Cooper isn't optimistic a $2.2 billion takeover deal can be salvaged before a Dec. 31 deadline.
